Moxtra Binders is…

a free iOS productivity app and web service for anyone with a project or collection of things they’d like to keep in one place and share with others. The app is called Moxtra Binders because it’s wrapped up in the simple metaphor of a binder. Why? The nature of a binder is to: organize unstructured data of different types into one universal format; deal with clutter; and bring it all together in a nice way to share.

Moxtra Binders helps mobile devices become truly productive. Simply collect essential content, express thoughts, and collaborate with friends–all from within the sensory rich environment of Moxtra Binders. People fill Moxtra Binders with all kinds of things from their personal and professional lives. They enjoy the comfort of having their binders with them wherever they go. Moxtra Binders can be shared publicly on social media, privately or in a real-time meeting.

Our Story…

Our mission here at Moxtra is to help people master the chaos of personal project management and team collaboration.

Amidst a mobile revolution, the Moxtra co-founders strived to re-imagine the next generation collaboration solution. Their desire was to bring about a uniquely compelling service for the masses.

Several of the Moxtra co-founders had the vision of  giving anybody secure access to their computer from anywhere through a personal cloud.  This vision is one of the key foundations for the Moxtra service and Moxtra cloud.

Another inspiration came from one of the co-founders’ daughters, in the metaphor of shared binders for use amongst college students. A solution was needed for remotely dispersed study groups—they needed an easy way to work collaboratively from different locations. The co-founder’s daughter solved this problem by designing an application that provided the study group with a simple and effective way to work together remotely, viewing their collective project work as a whole–all in one place in a visually attractive way–in a shared binder. The shared binder helped to eliminate the chaos of chasing scattered files from email, Skype, DropBox, fax, et al.

Harnessing the shared binder idea for project review and collaboration from anywhere, combined with the drive to reinvent mobile collaboration and offer anybody their personal cloud, the Moxtra Binder App was born.
